Britannia Q3 Profit Rises 17% on Biscuit Strength as Shares Rally

Management cites heavier media investment alongside stable input costs as the margin driver.

Overview

  • Consolidated net profit for Q3 FY26 rose 17.14% to Rs 682.14 crore, while revenue from operations grew 8.21% to Rs 4,969.82 crore.
  • Total expenses increased 6% to Rs 4,107.59 crore, with total income reaching Rs 5,029.28 crore for the quarter.
  • CEO Rakshit Hargave said profits outpaced revenue due to momentum across biscuits and adjacent categories within a relatively steady commodity environment.
  • The biscuit business grew about 12% in November and December, supported by sustained media spends and product innovations as price points stabilized following a GST rate cut.
  • Shares settled up 0.60% at Rs 5,873.70 on the BSE after the results, then jumped roughly 5% in Wednesday morning trade to above Rs 6,150.
