Overview
- Avon and Somerset Police said an object appearing to be a hand grenade was brought to Broadbury Road Police Station at about 3.40pm on Friday.
- Officers implemented a precautionary partial evacuation of the building and closed Broadbury Road with a cordon outside the station.
- An Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit was called to assess the object and render it safe.
- The force reported that no homes were evacuated during the response.
- As of 6.14pm, local reporting indicated the cordon remained in place as the assessment continued.
