- Police say he was excluded from Easts Leagues Club at 2pm for giving unwanted and unsolicited attention, then returned about three hours later allegedly armed with a large carving knife.
- Waitress Zoe Samson-Wood, 20, sustained serious cuts to her head and wrist plus defensive wounds, was discharged from Princess Alexandra Hospital, and required reconstructive surgery for nerve damage.
- A 61-year-old chef and a 41-year-old female patron were injured while intervening, and up to eight patrons and staff restrained the alleged attacker until police arrived.
