BRINC Launches Starlink-Connected Guardian Drone, Opens Larger Seattle Factory

The release signals a push to put instant aerial eyes on 911 calls using automated, U.S.-built gear.

Overview

  • BRINC, which unveiled Guardian on Tuesday, introduced a public safety drone with built-in Starlink to keep a reliable data link when cell networks fail.
  • Paired with the rooftop Guardian Station, the drone auto-swaps batteries and loads payloads like AEDs, Narcan, or flotation devices for round-the-clock launches without a crew.
  • The company detailed 62 minutes of flight time, speeds up to 60 mph, responses out to eight miles, dual 4K and thermal cameras, a 1,000-lumen spotlight, a laser rangefinder, and a loudspeaker louder than a police siren.
  • To scale output, BRINC is moving into Seattle’s West Canal Yards, taking 35,000 square feet now with plans for 50,000, a shift the company ties to tripled 2025 revenue and a base of more than 900 public safety customers.
  • Motorola Solutions is the exclusive North American reseller for BRINC’s Drone as First Responder tech, even as an analyst told Ars Technica the performance gains look incremental compared with rivals.
