Overview
- Emergency services, called around 2:10am Sunday, found two men with stab wounds inside Moon's Lodge in Regency Square.
- A 37-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene and another man in his 30s was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
- Officers arrested a 26-year-old with no fixed address on suspicion of murder, grievous bodily harm with intent, and possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply.
- Police kept a cordon in place, sent forensic teams into the building, and stepped up patrols in and around the square.
- Detectives urged anyone with footage or information to contact 101 or report online quoting Operation Wenthill, and say a Saturday George Street stabbing is a separate case under Operation Brewcastle.
