Overview
- Publisher NIS America and developer Happinet will release a playable demo on July 30 that covers the first two seasons of the Gran Dragnica and Scarlet Will story campaigns and does not allow save transfers into the full game.
- The full game is scheduled to arrive in late August with a Windows release on Aug. 26 and console launches on Aug. 27 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.
- Brigandine Abyss preserves the series’ trademark hexagonal-grid battles and three-phase structure — Organization, Attack, and Invasion — keeping the franchise’s macro army management at its core.
- The game expands content with six separate story campaigns plus a Mission Mode that lets players choose from 24 factions, each with its own win condition to boost replayability.
- Preview coverage highlights new narrative-focused event battles and character scenes influenced by modern Fire Emblem entries but notes that final judgment on writing and balance will wait for full release and wider reviews.
