Overview
- Bridgewater earned the Massachusetts berth after winning the state championship earlier this month and left for Bristol with an energetic town sendoff and police escort.
- The Little League New England Regional runs Aug. 8–13 at the A. Bartlett Giamatti Center and uses a modified double-elimination bracket that guarantees each team at least two games.
- Four teams will compete for the regional title: Bridgewater (Massachusetts), Gray/New Gloucester/Raymond (Maine), Portsmouth (New Hampshire) and Camels Hump (Vermont).
- Bridgewater is scheduled to open against the Maine team on Saturday and will stay in dorms, attend regional events and aim for roughly three wins needed to reach the Little League World Series in Williamsport.
- All regional games will be available on ESPN platforms with selected semifinals and the championship televised, giving players wider exposure and drawing strong local support back home.
