Brewers Add CC Sabathia and Dave Parker to Wall of Honor

The recognition highlights how short stints can leave lasting marks on a franchise.

Overview

  • The Brewers held an on-field ceremony Friday at American Family Field to induct Hall of Famers CC Sabathia and the late Dave Parker onto the club’s Wall of Honor.
  • The Wall of Honor, installed outside the ballpark in 2014, recognizes Brewers figures who meet set marks for longevity, awards or Hall of Fame selection rather than a fan or media vote.
  • Owner Mark Attanasio said Sabathia “single-handedly changed the culture” during the 2008 run, which featured an 11-2 record, a 1.65 ERA and seven complete games that helped end a 26-year playoff drought.
  • Parker was honored posthumously after his 2025 Hall induction and death, with his son David Parker II on hand, reflecting a 1990 Brewers season that produced a .289 average, 21 homers, 92 RBIs and several honors.
  • During the visit, Sabathia praised 6-foot-7 rookie Jacob Misiorowski, saying the right-hander reminds him of his younger self and could be dominant with more consistent strikes.
