Brazil Launches Public Dashboard Mapping R$340 Billion in Tax Incentives

Overview

• The Ministério da Fazenda made the dashboard public to consolidate DIRB/DIRBI company declarations and show who received tax benefits under dozens of programs in 2024.
• The platform displays about R$339.9 billion in declared benefits across roughly 83–87 programs and some 85,000–86,000 beneficiary firms without estimating net fiscal cost.
• The system was built by the Treasury's SPE with technical partners BID and Cedeplar/UFMG and allows users to slice data by sector, program, location and firm to profile benefits on productive, social, environmental and regional dimensions.
• Declared values reveal major gaps with prior government estimates, including about R$158 billion for agribusiness versus earlier R$83 billion estimates, Perse declarations above its R$15 billion ceiling, and roughly R$19 billion for payroll desoneração.
