Boys, 15 and 17, Arrested in Three Chicago Armed Robberies
Police say the teens are tied to three March robberies including a holdup outside a daycare.
Overview
- Chicago police arrested two boys, 15 and 17, in the 1100 block of South Hamilton Avenue, the same block as Cook County’s juvenile justice center.
- Each is charged with three counts of armed robbery with a firearm, according to police.
- The case includes a holdup in the 1100 block of North Cleveland Avenue where a 26-year-old was robbed after dropping off her 4-year-old at a daycare.
- Police also link the pair to a March 15 robbery of a 35-year-old in the 7600 block of South Exchange Avenue and to a second March 17 robbery of a 34-year-old about 20 minutes after the daycare incident.
- Officers were told to watch for four rifle-armed suspects in a small silver car with Kentucky plates, and police later recovered that vehicle on the South Side.
