Boys, 15 and 17, Arrested in Three Chicago Armed Robberies

Police say the teens are tied to three March robberies including a holdup outside a daycare.

Chicago police arrested two boys, 15 and 17, in the 1100 block of South Hamilton Avenue, the same block as Cook County’s juvenile justice center.
Each is charged with three counts of armed robbery with a firearm, according to police.
The case includes a holdup in the 1100 block of North Cleveland Avenue where a 26-year-old was robbed after dropping off her 4-year-old at a daycare.
Police also link the pair to a March 15 robbery of a 35-year-old in the 7600 block of South Exchange Avenue and to a second March 17 robbery of a 34-year-old about 20 minutes after the daycare incident.
Officers were told to watch for four rifle-armed suspects in a small silver car with Kentucky plates, and police later recovered that vehicle on the South Side.
