- The seven-year-old, who was riding a scooter, was hit around 4pm Wednesday by a silver Volkswagen Polo on Commercial Road in Hanley.
- Medics treated him at the scene for serious injuries before the air ambulance flew him to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
- Staffordshire Police said he is in a serious but stable condition, and that the driver stayed at the scene.
- Officers closed the road to carry out enquiries, and it reopened at about 8.45pm the same day.
