Overview
- Shortly after 8:40am on Wednesday, 11 March, a child was struck in the underground car park at Charlestown Shopping Centre in Finglas.
- The boy was taken by ambulance to Children's Health Ireland at Temple Street with serious injuries and was pronounced dead that afternoon.
- The scene has been preserved as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators carry out a technical examination, and inquiries are ongoing.
- A Family Liaison Officer has been appointed to support the child's family.
