Overview
- The club said during a media walkthrough Monday that phase one construction is underway and on track to finish later this year with the 30,000-square-foot building and grass fields opening by November or December.
- Phase one will use about 15 of the site’s 24 acres and is budgeted at roughly $60 million to include two full-size pitches, a natural grass half-field, lighting for flexible schedules, and future additions still in design.
- An artificial turf field will be housed in a bubble for year-round practice and is targeted to open in January, giving the team uninterrupted winter training capacity.
- Boston Legacy currently trains at the New England Revolution facility and is splitting home matches between Gillette Stadium and Centreville Bank Stadium while planning to move into a renovated White Stadium next season.
- The project joins a wider push by women’s pro teams to build dedicated training centers and is intended to boost recruiting, improve player care through on-site strength and sports-science resources, and provide scheduled community access.
