Overview
- Kevin and Derrick Boseman filed a petition on July 17 asking a Los Angeles judge to hold Taylor Simone Ledward in contempt and to remove her as administrator of Chadwick Boseman’s estate.
- The brothers say Ledward has not complied with a 2022 probate order to distribute the estate and has failed to provide a full accounting to their parents, Leroy and Carolyn Boseman.
- Their filing identifies unaccounted-for income streams and assets including SAG-AFTRA residuals, royalties, image and intellectual property rights, investments and multiple bank accounts.
- They ask the court to compel a complete accounting within 30 days and to appoint attorney/forensic accountant Jason Rubin or another professional fiduciary to oversee distributions and block major legacy deals without family approval.
- As of reporting through July 23 the court has not ruled and Ledward has not publicly responded, so the brothers’ allegations remain unproven and will be decided in probate proceedings.
