Overview
- The Booker Prize Foundation opened a UK-wide competition Tuesday for three child judges aged 8 to 12.
- Frank Cottrell-Boyce will chair the jury alongside actor Lolly Adefope and bookseller Sanchita Basu De Sarkar.
- Publishers in the UK and Ireland can now submit books written in or translated into English that are published from November 2025 through October 2026.
- The shortlist of eight titles and the three selected child judges will be revealed November 24, 2026.
- The foundation will gift 30,000 copies of shortlisted and winning books each year with first three years funding from the AKO Foundation and outreach partners including Beano, the National Literacy Trust and the Reading Agency.
