- Green drew on global sonic sources for the record, using historic Iranian samples, guzheng recordings and a blend of electronic production with live instrumentation.
- Recording took place across Los Angeles, London and Tokyo, with much of the work completed at Neil Young’s Broken Arrow Ranch, and the announcement was accompanied by a new Pierre Claude–designed live show.
- Bonobo will support the album with a North American headline tour in November and December, and the release follows his 2022 LP Fragments and recent Lazarus soundtrack work, a run of projects that may presage a shift in how he releases and presents music.
