Bonnie Tyler’s Family Announces Public Processions and Swansea Celebration of Life

The events let fans pay respects through public processions and center donations for two charities she patronised.

  • The family published a funeral notice setting a public procession to Mumbles on Saturday 15 August and a Celebration of Life at Swansea Minster on Monday 17 August.
  • Tyler’s coffin will be brought back to William Pressdee Funeralcare in Mumbles on 15 August at 3:30pm BST and the public are invited to line Newton Road from 3:15pm to pay their respects.
  • The service at Swansea Minster begins at 12 noon on 17 August, after which the cortege will travel through Skewen at about 1:20pm en route to a private family committal.
  • The family asked for donations in lieu of flowers to Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales and Cerebral Palsy Cymru and asked for privacy around the private service.
  • Tyler died on July 8, 2026 in a hospital in Portugal after complications following emergency intestinal surgery in May, and fans and public figures have paid widespread tribute to her five-decade career and ties to Swansea.
