Bombardier to Build SGD 100 Million Service Hub at Singapore’s Seletar Aerospace Park

The 250,000 sq ft facility is designed to boost Asia‑Pacific MRO capacity by adding hangars, recompletion and component repair workshops while partnering with A*STAR ARTC to speed digitalized maintenance.

Overview

  • Bombardier announced on June 9 that a local developer will invest about SGD 100 million to add an approximately 250,000 sq ft facility next to its existing Singapore Service Centre at JTC’s Seletar Aerospace Park.
  • Construction is planned to start in the second half of 2026 with operations targeted for the second half of 2028, according to the company’s release describing these as forward‑looking timelines.
  • The new site will host aircraft hangars, expanded scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, avionics installations, paint and interior recompletion work, a Component Repair and Overhaul (CR&O) workshop, and 24/7 aircraft‑on‑ground (AOG) support.
  • Bombardier said the expansion will create about 200 new highly skilled jobs and build on more than 300 local staff already at the Singapore centre, including roughly 250 licensed engineers and technicians.
  • The project is backed by Singapore agencies JTC and the Economic Development Board and includes Bombardier’s entry as an Anchor Member of A*STAR ARTC’s industry consortium to accelerate AI, automation and other digital MRO tools; this expansion extends Bombardier’s broader APAC services footprint that already includes centres in Melbourne and Tianjin.
