Bolsa Família April Payments Move Ahead With Payout to NIS Ending in 2

Overview

• Caixa paid beneficiaries whose Social Identification Number (NIS) ends in 2 on Friday, part of the April 16–30 calendar that releases funds by final digit.
• One day earlier, payments were released at once for residents of 173 municipalities in 11 states because of drought, floods or vulnerable Indigenous communities.
• This month the program will reach about 18.9 million families, with roughly R$12.8 billion in transfers and an average benefit near R$678.22 per household.
• Families receive at least R$600, with add‑ons of R$150 per child up to six and R$50 for pregnant or breastfeeding women and for children and teens 7 to 18, including six R$50 Nutriz installments for babies up to six months.
• About 2.34 million families are under a transition rule that pays 50% of their calculated benefit, with the allowed time cut to one year for those entering from June 2025 and kept at two years for earlier entrants.
