Boeheim's Army Leads 1-0 as Roster Questions Cloud Game 2 in Syracuse

Late reports of multiple player absences could determine whether Syracuse closes the series or forces a deciding game.

Overview

  • Boeheim’s Army opened the best-of-three first round with an 82-52 win over Hall In, a 30-point victory that put the alumni team one win from advancing.
  • Game 2 is scheduled for tonight at 7 p.m. ET at the Oncenter in Syracuse and will air on FS1 with streaming available on DIRECTV and fuboTV.
  • Local reporting has named a series of late absences for both teams, with Boeheim’s Army reportedly missing Wes Johnson, JaCorey Williams and Chris McCullough and Hall In missing Myles Cale and Al-Amir.
  • Those reported absences matter because Johnson, Williams and McCullough bring size and pro experience that affect rebounding, interior defense and lineups if they remain out.
  • If Syracuse wins Game 2 it will advance to face the KentuckyLouisville alumni winner in a single-elimination alumni semifinal; otherwise the series goes to a decisive Game 3.
