Overview
- Emergency crews recovered a body from Brays Bayou near Martin Luther King Boulevard and South MacGregor Way after a passerby reported seeing a body about 7:05 a.m. Wednesday.
- Responders pronounced the person dead at the scene and authorities have not released the individual’s identity or any description.
- The county medical examiner will determine identity, manner and time of death while the Houston Police Department continues the active investigation.
- Homicide detectives had opened a separate probe earlier in the week after a different person was found unconscious near Brays Bayou on the 7200 block of J.W. Peavy Drive and investigators have not confirmed a link between the two incidents.
- Officials are asking anyone with information or relevant video to contact the Houston Police Department as investigators canvass the area and process the scene.
