Body of Businessman Missing After Jet Ski Accident Found Near Praia do Estaleirinho
Lifeguards recovered him after a four-day multi-agency search across five coastal cities.

- Fire officials said the body of 35-year-old Jhon Pool Pacheco was found around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday in the water near the left side of the lifeguard post at Praia do Estaleirinho and then brought to shore.
- The search began the night of the Jan. 4 accident and ran without interruption until the recovery, drawing the Fire Department, Military Police, the Brazilian Navy and volunteers with boats, jet skis, drones with thermal cameras, helicopters and sniffer dogs.
- Teams searched by sea, land and air across Porto Belo, Balneário Camboriú, Navegantes, Itapema and Itajaí.
- Pacheco went missing after falling from a jet ski near Praia do Caixa D'Aço in Porto Belo while traveling with a friend toward Balneário Camboriú.
- The companion wore a life jacket, managed to swim and call for help, and was found about 400 meters from shore; Pacheco owned a network of Japanese restaurants and was active in jiu-jitsu and marathon running.
