- Boat operator Cameron Conley, 23, was arrested the day Kinney vanished and charged with operating a watercraft while intoxicated after an alleged breath result of 0.137% and was released pending a July court date.
- The Carter County coroner responded to the recovery and the case has been turned over to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort, which will issue an official cause of death and any forensic findings.
- Kinney’s family has been notified and authorities say the investigation remains active, asking the public to share tips with Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Law Enforcement or Kentucky State Police as the ME’s findings could shape whether additional charges are filed.
