Body Found Off A90 in Search for Missing Huyton Man

Police say the death is unexplained pending formal identification.

  • Police Scotland reported a man's body was discovered at about 12:20pm on Wednesday, November 26, off the A90 between Brechin and Laurencekirk.
  • Formal identification has not yet taken place, Kenneth Unsworth’s family has been informed, and enquiries continue into the circumstances.
  • Kenneth Unsworth, 46, was last seen leaving his home in Huyton, Merseyside, on November 20 and was reported missing on November 22.
  • Investigators believe he travelled north in a grey Audi along the A90 from Brechin to Laurencekirk, possibly stopping near Stracathro at around 8:50pm on November 20.
  • Police continue to seek dashcam and private CCTV footage and ask residents to check gardens and outbuildings, urging anyone with information to call 101 quoting reference 2213.
