Body Found in Search for Missing Leicestershire Pensioner Glenda Keal

Police report a non-suspicious death with formal identification pending.

Overview

  • Police said the body was discovered shortly after 8.40am on Brick Kiln Street in Hinckley on December 11.
  • Although identification has not yet taken place, officers believe it is Glenda Keal and her family are being supported by specialist teams.
  • Investigators traced her movements by CCTV, confirming she took the 158 bus from The Hollow in Earl Shilton to The Crescent in Hinckley at about 1.45pm.
  • She was seen in Hawley Road around 1.50pm, and police want to speak to a teenage boy on a bike who spoke with her at about 2.17pm near Coventry Road and Granville Gardens.
  • The death is not being treated as suspicious, a file will go to HM Coroner, and anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 485 of December 7.
