Bob Seger to Reissue Face the Promise as Expanded 20th‑Anniversary Edition

A first-time vinyl pressing and streaming debut widens Seger’s audience with a collectible package.

Overview

  • Capitol/UMe announced a remastered, expanded edition of Face the Promise due Sept. 18, 2026, marking the album’s first vinyl release and its first appearance on streaming services.
  • The reissue adds four songs not on the 2006 album — Time, Red Eye to Memphis, Let Me Try and the previously unreleased Little Jane — and preorders are now open while Little Jane is available to stream.
  • Longtime Seger mastering engineer Robert Vosgien handled the remastering and all formats keep the original track sequence with the four bonus songs included on the expanded edition.
  • The release preserves guest appearances by Kid Rock and Patty Loveless and the vinyl edition features collector-focused packaging that includes a gatefold jacket and a 12-page LP-sized book.
  • Face the Promise was Seger’s 2006 comeback after an extended hiatus, debuted at No. 4 and went platinum, and this reissue broadens access for new listeners while offering longtime fans archival material and deluxe physical editions.
