Boat Service Back at Wilderness Lodge as Boardwalk to Dock Remains Closed
Guests face a longer indoor route to reach the Magic Kingdom boat during phased walkway repairs.
Overview
- Boat transportation between Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Magic Kingdom has resumed after a temporary suspension, but the direct boardwalk to the dock is still closed for refurbishment.
- Most guests now reach the dock by walking through the main building toward Cascade Cabins 8001–8012 to connect with an alternate boardwalk.
- Crews removed the old boards on the closed path, and new wood decking is already visible behind barriers and on parts of the dock.
- Disney says the work continues through July, and later phases may target the cabins-side boardwalk, which could change routes again.
- Visitors should follow posted signs and allow extra time, as the detour adds distance that can be challenging for guests with mobility needs or strollers.
