Overview
- A vessel struck the rocky north jetty at the mouth of the Merrimack River at about 10:35 p.m. Friday, state police said.
- Two people were rescued from the water and taken to local hospitals and one person remained unaccounted for after the crash.
- Massachusetts State Police units, the State Police marine unit and airwing, and the U.S. Coast Guard conducted water and air searches using boats, a helicopter, a plane and a cutter.
- The Coast Guard suspended its search at 5:30 p.m. Saturday after earlier overnight and morning searches found no sign of the missing person and local water searches resumed without additional discoveries.
