Overview
- BMW released two official videos featuring M boss Franciscus van Meel and the car’s designer that walk through the facelifted 7 Series in detail.
- The M-focused clip highlights an M-badged grille, smoked “dark crystal” headlights, a new M mirror design with a winglet, extra M badging by the Hofmeister kink, and optional leather–cashmere upholstery.
- The design walkthrough shows a major exterior shift with a grille that meets the headlights and vertical, slightly forward-tilting crystal lamps that change the car’s face.
- Inside, the sedan gets a clean-sheet cabin with a new dash, doors and wheel, a passenger display, a rotating cylinder in place of the Swarovski controller, ambient door lighting, and a rear theater setup with a camera and 36 Dolby Atmos speakers.
- The i7 variants adopt BMW’s Gen 6 round-cell battery with claimed WLTP range beyond 700 km, support up to 250 kW DC fast charging that BMW says adds about 200 km in ten minutes, and the hybrid M760e is reported at about 4.2 seconds from 0 to 60 mph.
