BMW India Readies X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro With 258-HP Tune and Chassis Upgrades

The higher state of tune closes BMW’s petrol performance gap to the Mercedes-Benz GLC 300.

Overview

  • BMW is set to introduce the range-topping X3 variant in India in the coming days, with media drives confirming its specification and performance.
  • The 2.0-litre B48 turbo-petrol with 48V mild-hybrid assistance delivers 258 hp and 400 Nm, a significant step up from the xDrive20.
  • Independent testing recorded 0–100 km/h in roughly 6.1–6.3 seconds, trimming more than 1.5 seconds versus the lower petrol trim.
  • Adaptive dampers, M Sport brakes and a staggered 20-inch setup on Continental tyres (255/45 R20 front, 285/40 R20 rear) enhance grip and body control.
  • M Sport Pro touches add a blacked grille, Shadowline headlights and darkened taillights, while the cabin gains SensaTec trim and M-colour seatbelts yet retains some hard plastics and touchscreen-only climate controls despite an anticipated premium price; equipment includes a 14.9-inch infotainment screen, head-up display, Harman Kardon audio, ADAS and eight airbags.
