BMV Closes 2025 With Listings Revival, Projects Three IPOs in 2026

Executives forecast three debuts in early 2026 on improved valuations.

Overview

  • After a multi-year drought, five issuers listed in 2025, including Aeroméxico (MXN 5,882m), Esentia (MXN 11,592m), Fiemex’s Fibra E (MXN 84,963m), Fibra Next, and Promecap certificates.
  • Group executives said applications are advancing for three 2026 listings, one via the simplified regime, with potential launches as soon as February or March, and noted Banamex as a possible candidate that remains unconfirmed.
  • Leadership downplayed a fresh wave of exits, saying recent delistings largely stem from earlier processes and reporting no new names currently preparing to leave the market.
  • Debt financing was robust, with MXN 750 billion raised in 2025 and, through November, 1,294 short‑term placements totaling MXN 340,176m and 90 long‑term issues for MXN 265,788m.
  • Retail participation grew to about 20 million accounts through app-based brokers as BMV invested a record MXN 300m in technology and reported an approximate 80/20 market share versus BIVA.
