B&M and Home Bargains Recall Millennium Peanuts Caramel Milk Chocolate Over Allergen Labelling Risk

Regulators say missing English allergen labels make the bar unsafe for people with food allergies or coeliac disease.

Overview

  • Loudwater Trade & Finance Ltd is recalling Millennium Peanuts Caramel Milk Chocolate after some packs lacked English allergen information, posing a risk to people allergic to milk, peanuts, soya, nuts or gluten.
  • The recall covers all 285g bars that do not show ingredients in English on the back, with all best-before dates included.
  • The Food Standards Agency advises at-risk shoppers not to eat the bar and to return it to B&M or Home Bargains for a refund or email support@loudwateruk.com.
  • Loudwater has issued in-store notices to explain the recall and has been advised to alert allergy support groups so vulnerable customers are reached.
  • The warning comes alongside other UK recalls this week, including M&S yoghurt for possible undeclared gluten and Aldi smoked salmon with an incorrect use-by date, underscoring how label errors can endanger people with severe allergies.
