- Yesavage left Tuesday’s start in Houston after his left (landing) knee appeared to buckle while he was throwing warmup pitches and he walked off the mound before the bottom of the third.
- He had allowed no hits and one walk across two scoreless innings before exiting and told the team he felt a “pinch” in the knee.
- Manager John Schneider said Yesavage will have an MRI the following day and the club has given no timetable for a return while the injury is evaluated.
- Rookie reliever Chad Dallas replaced Yesavage in the game and is the likeliest internal option to cover a turn if Toronto cannot use Yesavage in the planned rotation.
