- Dublin staged its traditional Bloomsday programme on June 16 with MoLI tours showing Copy No.1 of Ulysses, a Belvedere College breakfast, a Glasnevin Cemetery re-enactment of the Hades chapter, and readings and performances at Davy Byrnes.
- The JoyceStagers performed 'The Funeral of Paddy Dignam' in Glasnevin and led guided tours to graves and sites named in Ulysses to connect Joyce’s fiction to real Dublin places.
- Drogheda hosted a free second-year Bloomsday event at The Tholsel that featured readings, music and audience participation and aims to become an annual town fixture.
- In Bray the WH Five Loaves Booktique ran a Frances Gaynor–organized programme of short readings and period music that highlighted the Joyce family’s 1887–1891 residence at 1 Martello Terrace and stressed accessibility for new readers.
- Organisers say the shift toward shorter, musical and community-led events could widen participation, deepen local ties to Joyce heritage and boost cultural tourism in towns outside the capital.
