Overview
- Blizzard confirmed on Thursday that T‑Pain, Simu Liu, deadmau5, YOASOBI, LE SSERAFIM, Duke Dennis and Khleo Thomas are among the celebrity guests for BlizzCon on Sept. 12–13 in Anaheim.
- YOASOBI will perform at the first-ever halftime show for the Overwatch World Cup and K-pop group LE SSERAFIM will close the weekend on the main stage.
- T‑Pain is slated to appear during the Overwatch World Cup, Simu Liu will take part as a player and caster in the Blizzard Classic Cup StarCraft II entertainment match, and deadmau5 will join a Diablo-focused developer panel.
- Passes for the in-person event are sold out but Blizzard says the opening ceremony, panels and esports competitions will be livestreamed for remote viewers.
- This is the first BlizzCon held under Microsoft/Xbox management since the acquisition of Activision Blizzard, a shift that frames the event’s mix of celebrity music, esports and developer showcases as an effort to re-engage fans and reach broader audiences.
