- Blinkit began doorstep delivery of the prepaid transit card in Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, and Ahmedabad, pricing it at Rs 50.
- Users can activate the card with zero-KYC through the BharatYatra app by scanning a QR code and linking a mobile number.
- The card supports instant UPI top-ups and offers an offline wallet of up to Rs 2,000 for tap-and-go payments without connectivity.
- Initial compatibility covers all Delhi NCR metro lines, Mumbai metro and BEST buses, Bengaluru’s Namma Metro, Chennai metro and MTC buses, metros in Ahmedabad and Kanpur, and bus services in Guwahati, Haryana, Jammu, Srinagar, Himachal Pradesh, and Aurangabad.
- Blinkit says coverage will expand in phases as additional metro and bus operators adopt the NCMC standard.
