Overview
- Fire started in vegetation near the ruins of St Anthony’s Chapel on Arthur’s Seat and sent thick smoke across the city.
- Scottish Fire and Rescue mobilised three appliances and police closed Holyrood Park to vehicles while asking the public to avoid the area.
- Emergency services received more than 180 calls about the incident as hikers were seen leaving the hill and smoke was visible from as far as Fife.
