Overview
- Blackstone Products issued a voluntary nationwide recall of three lots of its 7.3‑ounce Parmesan Ranch seasoning after learning the product contained a dry milk powder that California Dairies recalled for possible Salmonella on April 20; Blackstone announced its recall on May 15.
- The recall covers item #4106 in lots 2025-43282 (Best If Used By July 2, 2027), 2025-46172 (Best If Used By Aug. 5, 2027) and 2026-54751 (Best If Used By Aug. 12, 2027), sold exclusively at Walmart stores nationwide and on Blackstone’s website.
- No illnesses have been reported in connection with the seasoning to date, but the FDA warns Salmonella can cause fever, diarrhea and more serious infections in young children, older adults and people with weakened immune systems.
- The milk powder supplier’s April recall has prompted multiple related product recalls across brands and categories, including beverage mixes, snack items and frozen pizzas, highlighting traceability gaps when one ingredient is widely distributed.
- Consumers should stop using and discard affected containers and may call Blackstone at 1-888-879-4610 for replacement information while the FDA continues to monitor the situation and additional recalls may be announced.
