Blackburn Home Bargains Death: Connor Doyle Appears in Court on Manslaughter Charge

Overview

• Doyle appeared at Preston Magistrates' Court for a brief first hearing and was remanded in custody ahead of a plea hearing set for May 6 at Preston Crown Court.
• Police say 35-year-old Polish national Marek Krygier was injured in an altercation outside the Home Bargains on Byrom Street, then collapsed and died the next day at Royal Preston Hospital, with a postmortem citing a head injury.
• Two men were arrested on suspicion of murder during the inquiry, with Doyle later charged with manslaughter and the other, aged 44, released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
