Overview
- Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the AGP seat-sharing proposal has been settled at the state level and sent to the BJP’s Central Parliamentary Board in Delhi.
- In the Bodoland Territorial Region, the BPF will contest 11 of 15 seats and the BJP will field candidates in four, with no BJP alliance planned with the UPPL.
- UPPL president Pramod Boro stated the party will contest all 15 BTR seats if excluded from any arrangement.
- The BJP also finalised an understanding with the Rabha Hasong Joutha Mancha covering constituencies under the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council.
- Sarma said the BJP will publish a single Assam candidate list by March 16–17, and the Election Commission has not yet announced poll dates for the 126-seat Assembly.
