Overview
- BitMine reported it bought 53,501 ETH in the week ending Aug. 30, 2026, extending a 65-week streak of weekly purchases and raising its balance to 5,901,112 ETH, about 4.9% of the reported 120.7 million supply.
- About 5.07 million of those tokens, roughly 86% of the position, are staked through BitMine’s MAVAN validator network which the company values as a source of recurring operating cash flow.
- Management projects current deployed staking will produce roughly $335 million in annualized revenue and says that full deployment could lift that figure toward $390 million under similar yield conditions.
- The company remains roughly 133,900–134,000 ETH short of its self-set 5% target, a gap that recent larger weekly buys have narrowed but that still leaves timing and final pace of accumulation uncertain.
- Concentrating nearly 5% of supply raises practical risks for shareholders because staking locks up liquid ETH and increases sensitivity to price swings, custody or validator failures, and potential U.S. regulatory moves such as a possible mid-September CLARITY Act vote that the company flagged as a near-term catalyst.
