Bitdeer Taps DCI to Build 180 MW Nvidia-Ready AI Data Center in Norway

The deal positions Bitdeer to sell high-power AI capacity to customers.

Overview

  • Bitdeer signed Data Center Installations to convert its Tydal site into an AI facility built for co-location of Nvidia’s Vera Rubin hardware with a planned December 2026 completion.
  • The build targets 180 MW of installed capacity and, if finished as planned, is expected to be Norway’s largest operational AI data center and among the largest in Europe by capacity.
  • The Tydal design follows Nvidia’s reference standards, which support very dense chips and specialized cooling that large AI training jobs require.
  • DCI, a subsidiary of Sweden’s Sparc Group AB, was chosen for its track record on Norwegian data center projects, according to the announcement.
  • Bitdeer says its AI Cloud metrics are improving and it is pursuing colocation leases, while the Tydal site plans to reuse waste heat for local food production and tap Norway’s low‑carbon power.
