Bit Reactor Clarifies Design, Cast and Business Plans for Star Wars: Zero Company

The studio positions the game as a focused, cinematic single-player release that forgoes official mod tools and microtransactions at launch.

Overview

  • Bit Reactor confirmed on July 23 that Star Wars: Zero Company will launch on August 27 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
  • The developer says the main campaign is a linear, 30–40 hour single-player turn‑based tactics experience with no branching paths, no romance systems, and no New Game+.
  • Permadeath is built into the game but can be turned off, and the title includes one permakillable Jedi Padawan with no option to train a replacement.
  • Cosmetic customization is earnable in play while one Phase 1 ARC Trooper armor set is exclusive to the Deluxe Edition and the studio says there are no planned microtransactions.
  • Bit Reactor—founded by former XCOM developers—revealed a large voice cast that includes Dee Bradley Baker and Matt Lanter, and the studio left post‑launch support, mod tooling, and future content plans unconfirmed.
