Overview
- A General Administration order dated May 20 instructs every state government officer and employee to take a two-day, two-night visit with family to tourist, eco-tourism or rural sites once every three months.
- Visits are to be scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays, must cover up to three nearby sites, treat travel time as official duty, and forbid holding review meetings, inspections or working from official residences during the trips.
- The directive applies to staff at all levels including divisional and district officers and senior police and forest officials, and requires travel outside an official’s home district.
