Overview
- The Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority's Project Clearance Committee, which met on Saturday, approved 20 projects and allocated nearly 30 acres across several industrial areas.
- State officials project the approvals will attract about Rs 350 crore in investment and generate roughly 2,300 jobs, figures that reflect planned outcomes rather than completed spending or hires.
- The projects cover food processing, software, PEB fabrication, furniture, PVC/uPVC pipes, CBG, healthcare and general manufacturing and will be sited in Kumarbagh, Begusarai, Hajipur, Patliputra, Bariyarpur and Sasaram.
- Named firms cleared by the committee include Bharat GPS Bioenergy, Crispano Foods & Beverage, SP Institute of Workforce Development, Experia Prefaxo, Rayush Healthcare and Makhayo Foods, but each project still needs investor execution, financing and construction to move forward.
- BIADA and the industries department have pledged time‑bound, transparent land allotment and infrastructure support, and observers say the key next steps to watch are land transfer, project financing, and actual factory commissioning that will determine whether the promised local jobs and economic gains materialize.
