Bigsound Moves 2026 Festival to Torrent After Valencia Noise Ruling

A court order capping concert sound at 85 decibels left the Valencia venue unworkable.

Overview

  • Bigsound will now take place at Parc Central de Torrent on June 26–27 with the announced lineup unchanged.
  • The promoter said the court-imposed 85 dB limit at the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias made the festival model unviable and clashed with artist contracts that call for roughly 98 dB.
  • All purchased tickets remain valid for the new site, with free name changes through May 31 and official fan-to-fan resale available via Rebel Tickets.
  • The Generalitat Valenciana arranged extra transport to Torrent, including Metrovalencia service until 3:30 a.m., shuttle buses from the Valencia venue, and more than 4,000 free parking spots.
  • CEO Miguel Torres indicated the festival plans to stay in Torrent and projected about €20 million in local impact, saying options like added speaker towers or electronic limiters were not workable.
