Wait-time analyses published Friday show Big Thunder Mountain Railroad’s Lightning Lane Multi Pass inventory is typically exhausted by about 9:07 a.m., roughly minutes after the park opens.
The ride reopened in May following a more-than-year-long refurbishment that updated tracks and trains and lowered the height requirement from 40 inches to 38 inches.
Disney’s Lightning Lane Multi Pass lets guests prebook up to three experiences each day, one Tier 1 and two Tier 2, with booking windows of seven days for Disney hotel guests and three days for non-hotel guests.
TRON Lightcycle/Run and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train only offer single Lightning Lane purchases and are excluded from Multi Pass sellout comparisons, while Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Winnie the Pooh, and Jungle Cruise typically sell out later in the day.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party begins August 7 and will cut standard park hours on party nights to 6 p.m., a change that has already coincided with a reduced Lightning Lane Premier Pass price for that date and could shift crowd patterns and pricing decisions this fall.
