Big Brother Season 28 Launches ‘Time Trip’ as CBS Expands Episodes and Restores 24/7 Feeds

CBS is using a themed season to mark the series’ 1,000th primetime episode.

Overview

  • The 90-minute Season 28 premiere aired Thursday, July 9 on CBS and episodes will stream on Paramount+ as part of a heavier weekly schedule.
  • CBS set the grand prize at $750,000 and opened the season with 14 publicly announced houseguests drawn from varied backgrounds such as a rocket scientist, MMA fighter and reality-TV veterans.
  • The long-running 24/7 live feeds return Friday, July 10 at 9 p.m. ET on Paramount+ and free Pluto TV, with limited post-episode windows on the official Big Brother YouTube channel.
  • Companion show Big Brother: Unlocked resumed July 10 with a panel that includes Jerry O’Connell, Taylor Hale and Derrick Levasseur and will offer extra footage and behind-the-scenes access.
  • Casting remains partly fluid: a prospective contestant, Levi Banks, confirmed he left the show before move-in, and multiple outlets report additional or returning players may still be revealed in early episodes but those names remain developing and unconfirmed.
