Overview
- The poll of 2,000 Britons placed Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament top with 38% support and ranked Tower Bridge a close second at 36%.
- Respondents also picked regional favourites such as Giant’s Causeway (21%), Arthur’s Seat (13%), St Michael’s Mount (12%), Durdle Door (12%), Cheddar Gorge (12%) and Glencoe (10%).
- The survey found strong social media effects on travel and sharing, with 49% saying they have visited a place after seeing it online and 25% posting a view within hours of finding it.
- Younger respondents reported far greater influence from online images, and 80% of them said they had travelled to a place after seeing it on social platforms compared with 25% of older respondents.
- The research highlighted editing preferences that map to device features: 28% said removing people from photo backgrounds would be most useful and 24% favoured removing unwanted objects, a point Samsung links to its Photo Assist tool.
