  • The Big 12 published the full opponent matrix on Thursday, June 11, 2026, giving every team a clear list of which league foes they will face twice versus once.
  • Under the format each team will play 18 conference games made up of three home‑and‑home opponents, six home‑only opponents and six away‑only opponents.
  • The league set postseason windows and venues with the men’s tournament scheduled for March 9–13 and the women’s tournament set for March 3–7/8 at Kansas City’s T‑Mobile Center.
  • The matrix creates several marquee regular‑season pairings that shape the title race and NCAA seeding projections, most notably a home‑and‑home for Arizona and Houston and a rugged slate for Kansas.
  • Teams will use the matrix to finalize nonconference dates and travel plans as they continue offseason roster work, and the conference will release exact game dates, tip times and TV assignments later this summer.
